THE PACHYCEPHALOSAURUS SONG

Again in Cretaceous / the magic number’s 65,
Those are million years / that we all have to strive.
I wonder which dinosaur / we will now find?
There is one big bonehead / that really comes to mind.

This one is strange / his head has a roof,
Pachycephalosaurus / is somehow fool-proof.
His name sounds very hard / but don’t you give up,
We all want to know him / so we can never stop.

His skull is like a dome,
Very thick and strong,
So, when he walks home,
Nothing can go wrong.
He is an omnivore,
Every food is right,
But what he likes the most
Are leaves and anything light.

Bones inside his skull / are really there embedded,
His name even means / he is so“Thick Headed’’.
15 feet long / and weighs 9-50 pounds,
He is not allowed / to visit playgrounds.

His rounded skull is up / to 10 inches thick,
That spot on his body / can never be weak.
Thick bony dome / protects his tiny brain,
Safe from impacts / it will always remain.

Short neck, bulky body / and long hind legs,
Bony knobs and blunt spikes/ are his own tags.

The herd is a place / where he feels very free
It’s a lot safer / than climbing a tall tree.
