The Calgary Heritage Authority's Community Revitalization Lion Award recognizes the efforts of communities, neighbourhoods or individual contributions to enhance the public realm through heritage-related projects. Projects nominated for this award are evaluated on four criteria: - That there was wide community engagement demonstrating that the community at large was involved in and supported the improvements. - The project was a positive contribution to the public realm. - The project was innovative and unique. - The project promotes the heritage of the community.
