
The 2013 flood saw $5B in losses for southern Alberta, and $409M in losses to City-owned infrastructure in Calgary. Calgary’s downtown and Elbow River communities are still at risk of flooding. Along with updates to the Glenmore Dam, the Springbank Reservoir (SR1) will help protect Calgary from a 2013-sized flood.
