Safety Expo 2017 Kick-off - YouTube City of Calgary

Hosted by The City of Calgary, the Safety Expo gives Grade 5 and 6 students from Calgary schools a hands-on way to learn how to stay safe at home, school and play with more than 30 interactive exhibitors from The City and partnering organizations. Mayor Naheed Nenshi will be joined by Councillor Diane Colley-Urquhart, Honourary Chair of the Safety Expo Committee, Councillor Richard Pootmans, along with special guests, including: Calgary Roughnecks, Olympians, the acappella band HOJA, and City of Calgary service dogs. Over 4,000 students and teachers are expected to attend this year’s Safety Expo. The event also features workshops on topics including anti-bullying and online safety.
